Hours: Full time, 4-day work week with full 5-day pay

Salary: $18.00 to $25.00 per hour (commensurate with experience)

Job Overview:

As a Web Developer at Steamlabs, your creativity and technical skills will fuel innovative AI-driven STEM education projects. Working as part of a cooperative team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to various roles based on your expertise:

– Project Management
– Web Back End Development
– Web Front End Development
– AWS Cloud Development
– 2D/3D Design and Animation

Responsibilities include:

– Collaborate with the team to create, refine, and implement science and technology education experiences.
– Test the developed experiences with students for efficacy and appeal.
– Complete related operational tasks such as project organization and research.

Collectively, we are working to create dynamic AI-enhanced online learning experiences, like the Science Friday Chatbot builder, the Oslo Science Centre AI Debater, and the ClimateHero.ca 3D game. We educate and empower educators and students with AI, keeping responsible AI at the forefront.

Qualifications and Skills:

You are a collaborative, energetic person who takes to innovative approaches and technologies. Comfortable with productive struggle, your focus remains on growth and continuous learning. Solid communication and organization skills are as important to you as flexibility.

Required qualification and skills:

– Currently or recently enrolled in a program or have work experience in web development, graphic design, 3D modeling or a related field.
– Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is mandatory for the development roles.
– Knowledge of any back-end technologies or front-end frameworks would be a strong asset.
– Experience or familiarity with generative AI can distinguish your application.
– Strong problem-solving skills and good oral and written communication skills are vital.
– A strong team player who can also work independently when required.

– Experience with front-end frameworks like React or back-end technologies like Node.js

– Fluent French speaker
