Duration: 8 weeks, Summer contract, with option to extend to Dec 31.

Hours: Full time 4-day work week, paid for a full 5-day work week

Salary: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour, commensurate with experience

Job Overview:

Steamlabs is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Web Project Manager who values collaboration and supporting their teammates. In this role, you will work closely with the Product Owner, Web Designers, Front-End Developers, and Back-End Developers, fostering a positive and nurturing environment while ensuring the successful delivery of AI-driven STEM, climate change, and AI education web experiences for our partner organizations worldwide. You will oversee the project lifecycle, ensure timely completion, and facilitate effective communication between team members. This entry-level position offers an incredible opportunity to learn from experienced project managers and develop essential skills in project management, communication, and coordination in a rapidly growing industry.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Collaborate with the Design Lead, Web Designer, and development team to establish project objectives, scope, and timelines
  2. Manage project resources, budgets, and schedules to ensure timely completion and quality deliverables
  3. Facilitate communication between team members, stakeholders, and partners to ensure alignment and smooth project execution
  4. Monitor project progress, proactively identifying and addressing potential roadblocks and risks
  5. Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards, usability, accessibility, and responsiveness requirements
  6. Contribute to the storytelling aspects of the projects and support other operational tasks related to your role

Required qualifications and skills include:

  1. Diploma or current enrollment in a Project Management-related program, or 1+ years of work experience in Project Management
  2. Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies
  3. Experience managing web projects and working with web accessibility standards
  4. Basic familiarity with web technology such as WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  5. Familiarity with scrum project management
  6. Proficiency in project management tools and software such as Monday.com
  7. Proven teamwork and collaboration skills

Bonus skills and experience:

  1. Experience with front-end frameworks like React or back-end technologies like Node.js
  2. Familiarity with AWS stack and related services
  3. Additional skills in game development, design, coding, or Artificial Intelligence
  4. Experience teaching and/or developing educational programs and activities
  5. Fluency in French
